It does two jobs with one tool and goes from impact wrench to impact driver fast. The GSB18V-490 1/2 In. Hammer Drill/Driver is made to tackle demanding materials and applications (such as metal or masonry) anywhere on a worksite. This powerful hammer drill/driver features 20+1 clutch settings, for reduced overtightening. Its efficient brushless motor delivers 490 In.-Lbs. of torque and a no-load bpm of 0-22,000. The kit includes two Standard Power batteries, an 18V charger and two belt clips that provide a secure hold.

Soooo glad I got this. It's perfect because not only do I have these portable drills now, but with the included bag I throw in a lot of other items that are in common use with these tools such as a tape measure, wall anchors, a few common drill bits and screwdrivers, a studfinder, etc etc... This is THE bag to have.The 18V batteries are quite sufficient, even when using the hammer drill into concrete block that was filled with concrete. I used this to hang a cabinet into a concrete block wall. For tougher jobs like that you obviously want to have one battery charging while using the other, but it is quite sufficient for occasional homeowner extremes with the hammer drill, and MORE than sufficient for the average regular homeowner stuff and the occasional building of a new bookshelf or similar project. I've become quite the fan of the Bosch lineup overall, and this is a very welcome addition to my tools.
