I've historically used a claw hammer for most of my life, and I don't ever find myself using the prying end for removing nails. It was just a striking tool for the most part. If I wanted to pry a nail, I've likely use a end nipper. The leverage provided by an end nipper provides a smooth action, hardly damaging the work surface.Over the years, I noticed I would need to bend metal. Reciprocating saw blades, laundry drying racks, etc. I tended to use a set of pliers to bend them to shape, but lately I was looking into how people bend sheet metal and stumbled upon this tool. One thing led to another and I ended up getting this instead of the highly-coveted Malco's. Estwing puts annoying stickers, but some heat and oil and they come off with little effort. The tool itself is heirloom quality and I can't wait to use it for general purpose.
